EVD invites other PSI tenders

In the Government Gazette of 26 May 2009, Minister Koenders of Development Cooperation stated that a second Private Sector Investment (PSI) tender, as well as a third and fourth PSI Plus tender, put forth by the Agency for International Business and Cooperation (EVD), have been opened.

Private Sector Investment programme
The Private Sector Investment programme (PSI) is programme sponsored by the Dutch government that supports innovative investment projects in emerging markets in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe.

A PSI project is an investment project implemented by a Dutch or foreign company working in collaboration with a local company in one of the eligible developing countries. If this investment meets the relevant criteria, it can be eligible for a PSI grant, which consists of a financial contribution towards the investment costs.

Closing date tender
Entrepreneurs with good ideas for a project are invited to submit their proposals to the EVD. The closing date of the second PSI tender and the third PSI Plus tender is 24 August 2009 at 17:00. The fourth PSI Plus tender closes on 5 October 2009 at 17:00.
